BEST ACTRESS:

BEST PLAY:

SYDNEY EDWARDS AWARD FOR BEST DIRECTOR:
Polly Teale - After Mrs Rochester (Lyric Hammersmith/The Duke of York's)

BEST STAGE DESIGNER:
Christopher Oram - Caligula (Donmar Warehouse)

CARLTON TELEVISION BEST MUSICAL:
Jerry Springer - The Opera (National Theatre/Cambridge Theatre)

CHARLES WINTOUR AWARD FOR MOST PROMISING PLAYWRIGHT :
Kwame Kwei-armah - Elmina's Kitchen (National Theatre)

OUTSTANDING NEWCOMER:
Tom Hardy - Blood/In Arabia We'd All Be Kings (Royal Court/Hampstead Theatre)
