Flamenco Flamen'ka , a Flamenco dance show by Craig Revel Horwood, starring Karen Ruimy, will open at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Ave on 22 Sep 2008, following previews from 18 Sep, booking to 15 Nov 2008.

Includes flamenco, tango and contemporary ballet. Tells the story of a passionate love triangle. Jealousy, betrayal, hate and sacrifice put blood-ties to the test ending in heartbreaking tragedy.

It is directed and staged by Craig Revel Horwood, based on an original story and concept by Karen Ruimy with additional material by Craig Revel Horwood. Music is by Bruno Ribera. There will be additional choreography by Jerome Couchart, Marjorie Ascione and Manuel Gutierrez Cabello. The design is by Diego Pitarch with lighting by Ben Cracknell.

Karen Ruimy is the lead dancer/singer and will also be the narrator. She trained in Seville with Blanca and Adrian Ruiz.

Choreographer, Craig Revel Horwood, is well known as one of the judges for BBC's 'Strictly Come Dancing'. His West End choreography stage credits includes "Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks" at the Haymarket in 2006; "Beautiful and Damned" at the Lyric in 2004; "Calamity Jane" at the Shaftesbury in 2003; "Just' Like That" at the Garrick in 2003; "My One and Only" at the Piccadilly in 2002; "Spend Spend Spend" at the Piccadilly in 1999.
