Flashdance to close 15 Jan 2011 at Shaftesbury Theatre

Flashdance The Musical, has posted closing notices for 16 Jan 2011, after a run of only 4 months.

The show opened at the Shaftesbury Theatre 14 Oct 2010, following from 24 Sep 2010 to moderate notices from the popular press: Clumsy (Telegraph); Brims with physical energy (Guardian); Lacks a real imaginative freshness (Standard)

Flashdance The Musical is directed by Nikolai Foster, choreography by Arlene Phillips. The cast includes Victoria Hamilton-Barritt(Alex), and Matt Willis (Nick).

Set in Pittsburgh USA, the Musical tells the story of 18 year old Alex, a welder by day and 'flashdancer' by night, whose dream is to obtain a place at the prestigious Shipley Dance Academy.
