Flora the Red Menace transfers to Landor Theatre

The All Star Productions Ltd production of Flora the Red Menace, transfers to the Landor Theatre, a fringe venue in Clapham, south London, from 26 June to 14 July 2012.

(The show had a 2 week run at the Ye Olde Rose and Crown 15 May on 1 June 2012.)

It has music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, book by David Thompson. Directed by Randy Smartnick, with musical direction by Aaron Clingham.

Cast features Katy Baker as Flora.

Fashion designer Flora Mezaros, a member of an artists co-operative is struggling to find work during the Great Depression. She is hired by a large department store at which time she falls in love with Harry, a struggling designer, who attempts to convert Flora to his Communist ideals. Even though it compromises her job in an organization which does not recognize the new unions she seeks to hold down both job and relationship.
