Dippermouth will present the premiere of James Swanton's play Frankenstein's Creature at the Theatre503 pub theatre in Battersea, south London from 25 to 29 August 2015.

The author, who recently had a play at the Trafalgar Studios 2, will take on the central role for the limited run. It will feature direction by Jack Gamble and designs by Zoe Koperski.

Described as a 'reframing' of Mary Shelley's classic tale from the perspective of the Creature himself, the production "shines a light on the makings of a monster and the darkness within us all."

"He came into the world, fully formed. He never felt the warmth of a friend or the touch of a lover. Even his father fled from him in terror. But Frankenstein's Creature feels the sun on his face, the cold in his bones, and a hatred stirring. With no name and no past, he must forge a place in a world that does not want him. He must find his voice."
