
Full cast announced for Regent's Park 'Sherlock Holmes'
Based on the characters by Arthur Conan Doyle, this new play is set in London in 1890 and finds Sherlock fresh off the success of his first big case.
The full cast has been announced for the world premiere of Sherlock Holmes, a new mystery by Joel Horwood, which begins performances at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in London on 2 May.
Joining the previously announced Joshua James (Sherlock) in the cast are Christopher Akrill (Sholto/Judge), Andre Antonio (Pockets/Referee), Will Brown (Small/Lestrade), Paolo Guidi (Graziano/Bill), Benjamin Harrold (Morstan), Jyuddah Jaymes (Watson), Nadi Kemp-Sayfi (Mary), Marcia Lecky (Mrs Hudson/Lucia), Mervin Noronha (Tonga/Azad), Yuyu Rau (Lin/Nancy), Theo Reece (Domingo), Rakhee Sharma (Aleksandra/Padshah Begum Jahan), Tamara Tare (Ensemble & Onstage Swing), and Patrick Warner (Mycroft/Thaddeus).
Director Sean Holmes said: "I’m very excited to begin attacking this mad monster of a project. Joel’s written a tremendous new version , challenging the creative team and our cracking cast to conjure a dynamic, gripping and constantly surprising world, where iconic characters are presented in a fascinating new light as Imperial London collapses into chaos."
