Full cast for Globe's A Midsummer Night's Dream

Full cast announced for the Shakespeare's Globe production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, which opens 30 May 2013, following previews from 24 May - running to 12 Oct 2013.

Joining previously mentioned Michelle Terry (Titania), are John Light (Oberon), Olivia Ross (Hermia), Sarah MacRae (Helena), Joshua Silver (Demetrius), Luke Thompson (Lysander), Huss Garbiya, Tala Gouveia, Tom Lawrence,Christopher Logan, Molly Logan, Fergal McElherron, Edward Peel, Pearce Quigley, Stephanie Racine, Matthew Tennyson.

Directed by Dominic Dromgoole and designed by Jonathan Fensom, this production will employ Renaissance costumes and staging.

Hermia loves Lysander and Helena loves Demetrius - but Demetrius is supposed to be marrying Hermia... When the Duke of Athens tries to enforce the marriage, the lovers take refuge in the woods and wander into the midst of a dispute between the king and queen of the fairies.

Michelle Terry won an Olivier Award in 2011 for her portrayal of Sylvia in Tribes at the Royal Court, and is currently appearing in Before The Party at the Almeida; John Light's recent theatre credits include Luise Miller (Donmar Warehouse), The Master Builder (Almeida); Olivia Ross, played Princess Katherine in last year's Henry V; Sarah MacRae also returns to the Globe following her turn as Bianca in the 2012 production of The Taming of the Shrew. Joshua Silver, most recently appeared in Trelawny of the Wells at the Donmar Warehouse; Luke Thompson, graduates from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art this year.
