Full cast for Much Ado About Nothing at old Vic

The full cast has been announced for William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Mark Rylance, which opens at the Old Vic Theatre 19 Sep 2013, following previews from 7 Sep - running to 23 Nov 2013.

Joining previously mentioned James Earl Jones (Benedick) and Vanessa Redgrave (Beatrice), who take on these roles for the first time (They recently starred together in Alfred Uhry's Driving Miss Daisy both in the West End and on Broadway), are Tim Barlow (Verges), Penelope Beaumont (Ursula), Kingsley Ben-Adir (Borachio), Katherine Carlton (Beryl), Beth Cooke (Hero), Alan David (Antonio), Michael Elwyn (Leonato), Lloyd Everitt (Claudio), James Garnon (Don Pedro), Melody Grove (Margaret), Trevor Laird (Conrade), Leroy Osei-Bonsu (Messenger), Mark Ross (Sexton), Peter Wight (Dogberry and Friar Francis), Danny Lee Wynter (Don John).

It is designed by Ultz, lighting by Mimi Jordan Sherin, sound by Emma Laxton. Produced by Old Vic Theatre in association with Shakespeare Road & Nicolas Kent.

While young lovers Claudio and Hero threaten to have their imminent nuptials thwarted by the resentful scheming of a Prince, marriage seems inconceivable for reluctant lovers Beatrice and Benedick.
