Full casting has been announced for Michael Longhurst's upcoming production of 'Tis Pity She's a Whore by John Ford, which runs at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, from 23 October to 7 December 2014, with an official opening on 28 October 2014.

Max Bennett and Fiona Button will star as Giovanni and Annabella, the siblings whose doomed incestuous passion both threatens and throws into relief the incense-laden hypocrisy of the Italian court.

Bennett recently played Edmund in Chichester Festival Theatre's New York transfer of 'King Lear'. His London stage credits include 'Relatively Speaking' (Wyndham's), 'A Time to Reap' and 'In Basildon' (Royal Court) and Lyndsey Turner's 'Posh'.

Button recently starred in 'Wendy and Peter Pan' at the RSC and in Lucy Bailey's 'King Lear' at the Theatre Royal, Bath. Recent London credits include 'An Ideal Husband' (Vaudeville) and 'Posh' (Royal Court).

The full cast for the production also includes Stefano Braschi, Sam Cox, Philip Cumbus, Noma Dumezweni (Hippolita), James Garnon, Michael Gould (Friar Bonaventure), Alice Haig, Dean Nolan, Jethro Skinner, Daniel Rabin, Morag Siller, and Edward Peel.

This new production of 'Tis Pity She's a Whore will be directed by Michael Longhurst and features designs by Alex Lowde. It will have original music composed by Simon Slater.
