Full Monty - The Play transfers to London 20 Feb 2014

The Sheffield Theatres production of The Full Monty - The Play, transfers to London's Noel Coward Theatre, opening 25 Feb 2014, following previews from 20 Feb 2014, booking to 14 June 2014.

It is based on the Fox Searchlight Pictures Motion Picture. Simon Beaufoy has adapted his screenplay for the stage play and features songs from the film by Donna Summer, Hot Chocolate and Tom Jones.

The Yorkshire born cast who created the roles in Sheffield will bring the production to London - Kenny Doughty (Gaz), Craig Gazey (Lumper), Simon Rouse (Gerald), Keiran O'Brien (Guy), Roger Morlidge (Dave) and Sidney Cole (Horse). Completing the company are Scott Anson, Tracy Brabin, Caroline Carver, Eamonn Fleming, Elaine Glover, Rachel Lumberg, Ian Mercer.

Directed by Daniel Evans, designed by Robert Jones, choreography by Steven Hoggett, and co produced by Sheffield Theatres and David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers.

Set in Sheffield, England, and it tells the story of six unemployed men, four of them former steel workers, who decide to form a male striptease act.

The show was at the Lyceum in Sheffield in February this year and is currently having UK tour until the end of May. The show is then expected to do a pre-London run in Cardiff and Bath, in January, before its London transfer.
