It's that time of year again - the summer holidays are just around the corner! If you and your family fancy a trip to the theatre, we've rounded up some of the best entertainment on offer in London throughout July and August.

The Play The Goes Wrong

Things don't always play out the way you want them to, especially if you're the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society. They're staging a 1920s murder mystery, but the clumsy actors do much worse than simply fluffing their lines. Watch the group as they stumble their way through scene after scene, just to try and make it to the final curtain. Make sure you visit the Duchess Theatre to see this Olivier Award-winning show.

The Play That Goes Wrong tickets are available now.

Matilda

Since it opened six years ago at the Cambridge Theatre, Matilda has gone on to be a worldwide hit. Tim Minchin took the classic Roald Dahl novel and added his signature joyful tunes to tell the story of the six-year-old girl who is smarter than anyone could possibly imagine. But she has to battle her parents (who would rather sit her down in front of the telly than let her read her favourite books) and her evil headmistress Miss Trunchbull if she is to truly fulfill her full potential.

Matilda tickets are on sale now.
