Hair, has posted early closing notices for 4 Sep 2010 . (It was originally boooking to 8 Jan).

A statement to agents says "Producers of HAIR have decided not to re-cast the production after the Original Broadway cast complete their London engagement..."

The musical opened with the original Broadway cast at the Gielgud Theatre on 14 April 2010, following previews from 1 April, to excellent notices from the popular press: "A vibrant, joyous piece of living theatre" (The Guardian); "Exuberant revival" (Evening Standard); "Theatrical bliss" (Telegraph); "It's exhilarating, as well as oddly poignant...unstoppable energy and ebullient choreography" (The Times).

The cast includes Gavin Creel & Will Swenson.

The musical has book & Lyrics by James Rado and Gerome Ragni and music by Galt MacDermot. It is directed by Diane Paulus, designed by Scott Pask, lighting Michael Chybowski, choreography by Karole Armitage, costumes by Michael McDonald, sound by Acme Sound Partners.

The year is 1967, and the Vietnam War is at its height. In New York City, a tribe of hippies rails against the establishment, protesting intolerance, brutality, and the dehumanization of society. When Claude, one of their own, gets drafted, he must make a decision about what values are worth fighting for. Songs include 'Aquarius', 'Good Morning Starshine', 'Let the Sunshine In'
