The Devil Wears Prada has announced a casting update, as the show continues at the Dominion Theatre in the West End.
Based on Lauren Weisberger's best-selling 2003 novel and the 2006 film starring Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt, The Devil Wears Prada follows aspiring journalist Andy as she is initiated into the world of high fashion through an assistant position to editor-in-chief of Runway magazine Miranda Priestly.
From 1 June, Dominic Andersen will play the role of slick writer Christian Thompson, with James Darch — who has been in the role since the show's West End premiere at the end of 2024 — starring until 30 May.
He will join Vanessa Williams, who continues in the role of Miranda Priestly until 17 October, as well as Matt Henry, who also remains with the show as Nigel until that date.
The current cast includes Stevie Doc as Andy, Taila Halford as Emily, and Keelan McAuley as Nate.
The ensemble features Gabby Antrobus, Georgia Aspinall, Anta Bah, Selena Barron, Evonnee Bentley-Holder, Pamela Blair, Jenna Bonner, Xenoa Campbell-Ledgister, Lloyd Davies, Jinny Gold, Selina Hamilton, Kimberley Hoyle, Luke Jackson, Emma Johnson, Justin-Lee Jones, Debbie Kurup (as the alternate Miranda), Mark Lamb, Ethan Le Phong, Brandon Lee Sears, Nathan Lorainey-Dineen, Dean Makowski-Clayton, Shannon Molloy, Eleanor Peach, Joshua Robinson, Joshua Steel, Kayleigh Thadani, Harry Tunningley, Alex Woodward and Tara Yasmin.
The creative team led by Elton John includes direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell, lyrics by Shaina Taub and Mark Sonnenblick, book by Kate Wetherhead, set design by Tim Hatley, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Bruno Poet, and sound design by Gareth Owen.
