Initial casting has been announced for Tim Crouch's An Oak Tree, which begins performances at The Other Palace in London on 5 October, running through 15 November.

The theatrical experiment, which focuses on a grieving father who loses his daughter in a car accident, will star Tim Crouch and a different second actor at each performance. They will step on stage without ever having read or rehearsed the play.

Casting includes Hammed Animashaun (SNL UK, Dealers Choice) on 29 October, Bessie Carter (Bridgerton, Mrs. Warren’s Profession) on 16 October, Rosalie Craig (Riot Women, Good Night, Oscar) on 9 October, Sacha Dhawan (Doctor Who, The Great) on 23 October, George Fouracres (SNL UK, Hamlet) on 10 November, Clare Perkins (Romeo & Juliet, Player Kings) on 13 October, Tom Mothersdale (A Doll’s House, Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light) on 14 October, and Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones, The Tower) on 15 October.
