The Tony-nominated new American play Hand to God by Robert Askins has announced it will transfer to London's Vaudeville Theatre from 5 February 2016.

The production, which is produced by Kevin McCollum, originally opened at Broadway's Booth Theatre on 7 April 2015, following previews from 14 March 2015. The show has recently announced that it will play its final performance on Broadway on 3 January 2016.

"A shy teenager named Jason is surprised when his Bible School project—a puppet named Tyrone—takes on a shocking, truth-telling personality all its own, forcing everyone in its path, especially Jason's mother Margery, to confront their own demons as they search for redemption through a mix of riotous laughter and genuinely shocking twists."

Hand to God received five 2015 Tony Award nominations including Best Play, Direction of a Play (Moritz von Stuelpnagel), Actor in a Leading Role in a Play (Steven Boyer), Actress in a Leading Role in a Play (Geneva Carr), and Actress in a Featured Role in a Play (Sarah Stiles).

Directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel, the production includes scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costumes by Sydney Maresca, lighting by Jason Lyons, sound by Jill BC Du Boff, puppet design by Marte Johanne Ekhougen, and fight direction by Robert Westley.

Casting for the production is yet to be announced.

Tickets for the London run will go on sale in October 2015.
