With theatres remaining closed in London for the foreseeable future, West End productions have had to prolong their closure dates. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the latest show to extend its run of suspended performances, with no shows at the Palace Theatre until 21 July at the earliest.

In a tweet from the production, they have said: "As we navigate the impact of closure has had on the production schedule of our large scale show and await further guidance from the Government on re-opening theatres at full capacity, the suspension of performances of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre has been extended to Sunday 18th July 2021."

At the moment, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is projecting a reopening date on 21 July, however this may change in the future.

The world premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child took place at the Palace Theatre on 7 June 2016, ahead of an official opening night on 25 July 2016. Currently, there are worldwide productions on Broadway, as well as in Melbourne and Toronto.
