UPDATE: Frank and Percy has extended by two weeks and will now run through 17 December.

Following the sold-out world premiere at the Theatre Royal Bath, the record-breaking Frank and Percy will transfer to The Other Palace in September, starring Ian McKellen and Roger Allam.

Sean Matthias directs Frank and Percy which presents a touching and humourous look into the unexpected bond between two men. While their canine friends play in the park, they ponder over how the human connection is much more tempremental.

“I cannot believe my luck in finding this charming and original new play. Ben Weatherill is a true young talent in theatre." Matthias said in a statement, "To have reunited Ian and Roger after almost 20 years since we all did Aladdin together at the Old Vic is a real coup. Frank and Percy explores the fragility and joy of relationships, and what forges and strengthens bonds between humans, at a time when more than ever, we all need to love and support one another.”

Written by the emerging British playwright Ben Weathermill, Frank and Percy is scheduled to run from September 8 to December 3, 2023. The creative team also includes designer Morgan Large, lighting designer Nick Richings, and sound designer Andy Graham. The production will be produced by Bill Kenwright.

With this production, The Other Palace will also be launching a new writing development fund. For every ticket sold for future productions, 50p will be allocated to support the development of emerging playwrights and new work.
