Ibsen Stage Company presents Hedda at Riverside 3 Feb

Ibsen Stage Company presents Hedda, based on 'Hedda Gabler' by Henrik Ibsen, translated and directed by Terje Tveit, at the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, west London, from 3 to 14 Feb 2010.

Hedda returns from her honeymoon, feeling increasingly discontent. Something is brewing and, when a school friend turns up with news of an old acquaintance, a string of emotions are unleashed. The consequences are devastating.

Also, on 6 February, 10a.m. - 1pm - Ibsen Seminar: Ibsen from Page to Stage The Royal Norwegian Embassy, Ibsen Stage Company and Riverside Studios co-host a pre-show seminar focusing on Ibsen's work in performance. Speakers will include Professor Laura Caretti from University of Siena, Dr Marie Wells of UCL, novelist, critic and cultural historian Paul Binding and representatives of the Norwegian National Theatre.
