Joseph now booking to 9 Feb 2005

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is now taking bookings to 9 Feb 2005 at the New London Theatre.

This production by Bill Kenwright, who also directs, is designed by Sean Cavanagh, choreographed by Henry Matcalfe with lighting by Nick Richings.

The show currently features Andrew Derbyshire, who will play the part of 'Joseph' until 17 Jan 2004, then Darren Day is expected to return to the part.

This production opened to good notices from the popular press in March 2003: LYN GARDNER for THE GUARDIAN says,"Full of bare-faced cheek and a highly developed sense of fun." SARAH HEMMING of FINANCIAL TIMES says, "Enjoyably brash and cheeky staging." PAUL TAYLOR for THE INDEPENDENT says, "Wonderfully warm-hearted, scenically lavish, and deliriously droll revival." JOHN MARTLAND for THE STAGE says, "An enjoyable experience ....top-notch production."

The musical retells the biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colors.
