The production previously ran at the off-Broadway Laura Pels Theatre from 15 May 2014 to 10 August 2014, with an official opening on 03 June. It received good notices and was praised by Charles Isherwood in the New York Times: "Mr. Dale, who wrote the show himself, tells his stories with humor and geniality, mostly keeping the mood light, lively and flecked with classic British self-deprecation..."

Jim Dale is a stage entertainer, singer, dancer, comedian, Shakespearean actor and raconteur. The production is directed by Richard Maltby Jnr.

In Just Jim Dale, Jim takes audiences on a journey through an unequalled career in the theatre with a myriad of irresistible showbiz tales, songs and performances - a career extending from performing as the youngest professional comedian on the British Music Hall stage, to joining the National Theatre at the request of Sir Laurence Olivier, starring in 11 Carry On films, his Broadway triumphs in 'Scapino', 'Barnum' and 'Me and My Girl'.

Tickets for the production are now on sale.
