A Midsummer Night's Dream, by William Shakespeare. Directed by Simon Mathis. It's the height of summer in Athens. The heat is unbearable and tempers are frayed and fraying. At Court lovers are quarrelling, families are arguing, plots are being hatched and there's a royal wedding. No one's quite in their right mind and there is trouble in the air. With hopes of receiving a small pension some hard working artisans from the town make plans to tell a tragic love story; little knowing that their improbable tale is already being played out by two young lovers of the court.
