Let It Be transfers from Prince of Wales to Savoy 1 Feb

The Beatles tribute musical Let It Be, a theatrical concert, which showcases the works of the world’s most successful rock’n’roll band, transfers from The Prince of Wales Theatre, where it ends on 19 Jan 2013, to the Savoy Theatre on 1 Feb 2013, booking to 5 Oct 2013.

To celebrate fifty years since THE BEATLES released their first single ‘Love Me Do’ in October 1962, the show opened at the Prince of Wales Theatre 24 Sep 2012, following previews from 14 Sep, to mostly good notices from the popular press.

The show uses video footage to tell the story of the band’s meteoric rise from their humble beginnings in Liverpool’s Cavern Club, through the height of Beatlemania, to their later studio masterpieces.

Featuring more than twenty of The Beatles’ greatest hits, including I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Hard Day’s Night, Day Tripper, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Strawberry Fields, When I’m 64, Hello Goodbye, Get Back and many more, all performed by hand-picked master musicians.

It is the first time that the Grand Theatrical Rights to The Beatles’ back catalogue have been granted by Sony/ATV for a West End production.

The West End show is produced by Jamie Hendry Productions, Annerin Productions, Rain Productions, BB Promotion, MagicSpace Entertainment & Julian Stoneman Associates.
