"Little Women" at Lilian Baylis Theatre at Sadler's Wells

Mark Bentley for Novel Theatre Company Ltd is to present Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, with adaptation by Emma Reeves, at the Lilian Baylis Theatre at Sadler's Wells. The play will open on 17 Dec 02, following previews from 13 Dec 02 and running to 31 Jan 03.

Following two previous London seasons on the Fringe at the Upstairs in the Gatehouse theatre in Highgate and New End Theatre in Hampstead, this production has been specially redesigned for an extended season at the Lilian Baylis Theatre at Sadler's Wells.

The play features Lizzie Conrad, Sarah Edwardson, Diana Eskell, Sarah Grochala, Paul Hampton, Nikki Leigh Scott, Ann Micklethwaite

It is directed by Andrew Loudon, designed by Rachel Payne, with lighting by Matthew Eagland.

Alcott's 1868 novel and its sequel 'Good Wives' (1869) have been dramatised in this adaptation by Emma Reeves who has condensed the essence of the stories into a 2-hour play.

The story concerns four sisters, the March girls, a poor family growing up during the American Civil War
