Frankie Parham & Oliver King for Fuse Theatre will present Luce by JC Lee at the Southwark Playhouse from 9 March to 2 April 2016, with an official opening on 11 March 2016.

The drama originally premiered at Lincoln Center Theater in 2013, and this production will mark its London debut. It will be directed by Simon Dormandy with designs by Dick Bird, lighting by Matthew Evered, costume by Holly Henshaw and sound by David Gregory.

"Amy's son is perfect: star athlete, academic highflyer and high school hero. So why are there lethal explosives in his locker? Luce is about the fear of homegrown terrorism. Set in an ordinary American town, but addressing anxieties that are growing throughout the Western world, it raises troubling questions about parenting, education and racism. Do we ever really know our children? Why must they be perfect? And where do the springs of violence lie?"

Mel Giedroyc will play Amy. She is best known for her comedy work with Sue Perkins, with whom she has co-hosted television series such as 'Mel & Sue', 'Light Lunch', and 'The Great British Bake Off'. Her stage credits include 'New Boy' (Trafalgar Studios) and 'Eurobeat' (Novello).

Tickets for the production are now on sale.
