Michael McManus' Brexit-inspired drama Maggie and Ted: The Birth of Brexit will make its West End premiere next month. Following a world premiere at The White Bear pub theatre in 2019, Maggie and Ted: The Birth of Brexit is now at the Garrick Theatre for two nights on 28 - 29 June.

For over two decades, the tense political battleground between Margaret Thatcher and Ted Heath was covered in the media. One was the UK's first female Prime Minister. The other was the first working-class leader of the Conservative Party. But how did their feuds impact Brexit? Joined by a variety of political characters including Churchill and Boris Johnson, the drama looks to put an entertaining spin on current affairs.

Casting for Maggie and Ted: The Birth of Brexit is to be announced. The 2019 cast included Oli Higginson, soon to star in The Last Five Years at the Vaudeville Theatre. He was joined by Hugh Fraser, Claire Bloomer, Jonathan Blaydon, Jon Glover and Lisa Bowerman.

The Garrick Theatre opened earlier this week with Death Drop, which runs to 11 July. Billionaire Boy then opens for a summer run from 17 July.
