Major cast Changes in "Phantom of the Opera" from 6 Sep 2004

Major cast changes in Phantom of the Opera, at Her Majesty's Theatre from 6 Sep 2004: Rachel Barrell takes over the role of 'Christine', Oliver Thornton (Raoul), Sally Harrison (Carlotta), Claire Tilling (Meg), and Rohan Tickell (Piangi).

The show will continue to feature John Owen-Jones (The Phantom) , Richard Hazell (Monsier Firmin), Heather Jackson (Madame Giry), Sam Hiller (Monsieur Andre).

Rachel Barrell's most recent London stage credits include: "Thoroughly Modern Millie" at the Shaftesbury Theatre

Oliver Thornton recently played the role of 'Enjolras' in "Les Miserables" at the Queen Theatre.

Sally Harrison, who is making her West End theatre debut, has sung many roles for the English National Opera and Scottish Opera

Claire Tilling has previously played in the national tour of "The Phantom of the Opera" and the UK and American tours of "Spirit of the Dance".

Rohan Tickell has played leading roles in the West End musicals "Mamma Mia!" and "Whistle Down the Wind".

Phantom of the Opera has been playing in London since 1986, and will enter its 19th year in London on 9 Oct 2004. The show is currently taking bookings to 1 Jan 2005

Directed by Harold Prince, it has music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Charles Hart .

'This haunting musical traces the tragic love story of a beautiful opera singer and a young composer shamed by his physical appearance into a shadowy existence beneath the majestic Opera Paris House.'
