

Mawaan Rizwan and George Fouracres to star in 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead' at the National Theatre
Tom Stoppard's play reimagines William Shakespeare's Hamlet from the perspective of two minor courtiers.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead will open at the National's Lyttelton Theatre in winter 2027. The show has been revealed as part of the venue's 2027 season announcement.
Deputy Artistic Director Robert Hastie’s (Summerfolk) new production of Tom Stoppard’s absurdist classic will star BAFTA-winning actor Mawaan Rizwan (Juice) as Rosencrantz and George Fouracres (SNL UK) as Guildenstern.

Further artistic team, casting, and performance dates are to be announced.
