The Brian Friel play marks the third installment of the theatre's In Camera series.
The Old Vic announced Faith Healer as the third play in its livestreamed In Camera series. Michael Sheen, David Threlfall, and Indira Varma will star in the Brian Friel play, which will be performed live on the theatre's stage and broadcast to audiences. The production will have five performances from 16-19 September.
Sheen stars as Francis Hardy, the titular healer, who travels throughout Wales, Scotland, and Ireland with his wife Grace, played by Varma, and his manager Teddy, played by Threlfall, and each character explores their own journey of love and struggle over this nomadic and itinerant existence.
Tickets will go on sale on 7 September at 10am. All performances are captioned and available globally.
The Old Vic launched the In Camera series with Duncan Macmillan's Lungs, featuring The Crown stars Claire Foy and Matt Smith, and the next installment will be Stephen Beresford's Three Kings, starring Andrew Scott, which will have four performances 3-5 September.
