Mike Leigh's new play cancels first two previews

Mike Leigh's new play, now titled Two Thousand Years, has cancelled its first two previews (8 & 9 Sep) at the Cottesloe Theatre.

Extra Sunday performances for the sold-out run have been scheduled to accommodate ticket-holders for these previews.

The play will now start previews from Saturday 10 Sep, but still have its official opening (press night) as planned on 15 Sep 2005. Running to 31 Jan 2006.

Details about the subject matter of the play is being kept secret until the first performance, however this has not stopped the entire run from being sold out, with only about 20 seats held back per performance for sale on the day.

The cast includes: John Burgess, Ben Caplan, Allan Corduner, Adam Godley, Caroline Gruber, Nitzan Sharron, Samantha Spiro, Alexis Zegerman
