After a nationwide tour earlier this year, it has been announced that The Life I Lead will transfer to the West End, playing at the Wyndham's Theatre.

Based on the life of David Tomlinson, The Life I Lead will explore the true stories of the actor renowned for his roles in Disney films including Mary Poppins as Mr. Banks and Bedknobs and Broomsticks as Professor Emelius Browne, The Life I Lead will explore his earlier years, following Tomlinson as a World War Two fighter pilot.

Miles Jupp will reprise his role as David Tomlinson, with previous theatre credits including Neville's Island and Rules for Living, both at the National Theatre, as well as appearing in television shows including The Thick of It, Howards End and The Crown. Jupp is also known for his stand-up comedy, appearing on numerous shows including QI and Have I Got News for You, as well as performing stand-up on tour for over two decades.

The Life I Lead will play at the Wyndham's Theatre for a limited engagement of eight performances, following a national tour, which included two weeks at the Park Theatre in London.

The production is written by James Kettle, whose writing credits include The News Quiz for BBC Radio 4, and In and Out of the Kitchen for the BBC.

The Life I Lead is at the Wyndham's Theatre from 16th to 21st September 2019.
