The Grinning Man has extend its booking period at London's Trafalgar Studios following positive reviews after its opening night in December.

Based on Victor Hugo's 1869 novel The Man Who Laughs, which tells the story of a young man whose face has been mutilated giving the impression he is always smiling, the show has been adapted by Carl Grose with music by Tim Phillips and Marc Teitler.

The Grinning Man, which opened on 18th December 2017, will now run at Trafalgar Studios until 14th April 2018.

Louis Maskell, who starred in the piece when it premiered at Bristol Old Vic in 2016, plays the mutilated Grinpayne who is showcased as part of a freakshow in central London, telling his story with the help of Dea and some inventive puppetry.

When it opened last month, LondonTheatre.co.uk gave the show a four-star review, calling it a "success story", praising its "satisfying score".

The Grinning Man is at Trafalgar Studios until 14th April 2018.

The Grinning Man Tickets are available now.
