A second booking period for the West End production of Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre has been announced.

On Monday 29th January at noon, tickets will go on sale for performances from 30th June to 15th December 2018.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical, which charts the life story of founding father Alexander Hamilton, opened in London - the first production to open outside of the United States - to a flurry of five-star reviews in December.

The musical stars RADA graduate Jamael Westman in the title role, alongside Christine Allado, Tarrinn Callender, Rachelle Ann Go, Ash Hunter, Michael Jibson and Giles Terera.

In a five-star review for LondonTheatre.co.uk, Mark Shenton wrote: "This show may be about history, but it also makes history itself: not just in the freshness and vivacity of its rap-based score that could come from the charts today, but also in the colour-blind diversity of its cast".

Producer Cameron Mackintosh executed plans to refurbish the Victoria Palace Theatre, remodelling the auditorium and extending the theatre adding new public spaces and bars.

While tickets for the West End production are scarce, there is a daily online lottery in operation where applicants can enter to win tickets for the next day's performances.

Hamilton is booking at the Victoria Palace Theatre until 15th December 2018.
