NEW CAST as THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES TRANSFERS BACK TO NEW AMBASSADORS THEATRE

The latest casting of The Vagina Monologues, has been announced.

Lisa Stansfield , Anita Dobson and Cecilia Noble will perform from 4th Feb 02 for three weeks to 23rd Feb 02 at the Arts Theatre.

The show will then transfer back to The New Ambassadors Theatre from 26th Feb 02.

Lisa Stansfield, is an international pop singer. she is the winnner of three Brit Awards; in 1991 and, again in 1992, she was voted "Best British Female Artists". Her Number One song "All Around the World" won an Ivor Novello Award and the album "Affection" sold over 4.5 million records worldwide.

Anita Dobson is best known for her role as 'Angie Watts' in 2Eastenders". Her LOndon theatre credits include "Budgie", "Kvetch", "Charley's Aunt", "Three Sisters" at the Royal Court and "Le Bourgeois Gentihomme" at the Royal National Theatre.

 

Cecilia Noble, w has appeared in TV programmes including "Holby City", "Casualty", and "The Bill". Her London theatre credits include "The Recruiting Officer" at the Royal National Theatre and several productions at the Tricycle Theatre and Royal Court Theatre. She played 'Miranda' in "The Tempest" and 'Chorus' in "Philoctetes", both directed by Declan Donnellan, for Cheek By Jowl.

 

The Vagina Monologues is written by Eve Ensler, designed by Bunny Christie with lighting by Chris Davey.

Based on interviews with a diverse group of women - from a Long Island antique dealer to a Bosnian refugee - the play brazenly explores the humour, power, pain, wisdom, outrage, mystery and excitement hidden in vaginas.
