New casting for Come From Away at the Phoenix Theatre
Soon to enter its second year in the West End, new casting has been announced for Come From Away. The new cast will begin performances at the Phoenix Theatre from 10th February, with a current booking period to 23rd May.
The new cast of Come From Away
The role of Beverly/Annette and others will be played by Alice Fearn, who takes over the role from Rachel Tucker. Fearn’s West End credits include Elphaba in Wicked, as well as Les Miserables, Shrek the Musical, Into the Woods and The Woman in White.
Bob and others will be played by Tarinn Callender, who made his West End debut as Hercules Mulligan and James Madison in Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre. Previously a Come From Away standby, Mark Dugdale will join the main company as Kevin T/Garth and others.
The roles of Nick and Diane will be taken over by Alasdair Harvey and Kate Graham. The pair have previously worked together in Mamma Mia! at the Novello Theatre as Harry and Tanya respectively. James Doherty will take over the role of Claude and others, whose West End credits include Chicago and Marguerite. Ricardo Castro, Stuart Hickey, Sorelle Marsh, Micha Richardson and Matthew Whennell-Clark complete the new cast.
They will join the original cast members continuing in the show, completed by Jenna Boyd, Mary Doherty, Jonathan Andrew Hume, Harry Morrison, Emma Salvo, Cat Simmons, Chiara Baronti, Alexander McMorran and Jennifer Tierney.
Come From Away in London
Come From Away began previews in the West End on 30th January, ahead of an official opening on 18th February. The musical received a flurry of five-star reviews, with LondonTheatre.co.uk complimenting its feel as a “little show with a big heart... It's a show with an impact that’s difficult to describe: it feels like it creeps up on you unawares, before flooring you with emotion”.
