StarKid musical 'Nerdy Prudes Must Die' to play in the West End

The show at the Apollo Theatre marks Starkid's second season in the West End, following a limited run of The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals at the same venue earlier this year.

Horror-comedy musical Nerdy Prudes Must Die, created and presented by viral US theatre company StarKid, will play at the Apollo Theatre in the West End from 6 February to 7 March 2027. The production will mark StarKid's second consecutive season in the West End, following a limited run of The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals at the same venue this past May.

First performed in Los Angeles in 2023, the musical follows a group of social outcasts at Hatchetfield High who accidentally a summon a murderous, nerd-hating demon.

The London production will feature the entire original cast from 2023: Will Branner as Max Jägerman, Mariah Rose Faith Casillas as Steph Lauter, Bryce Charles as Detective Shapiro, Corey Dorris as Mayor Lauter, Angela Giarratana as Grace Chasity, Lauren Lopez as Ruth Fleming, Jon Matteson as Richie Lipschitz, Curt Mega as Officer Bailey, Joey Richter as Peter Spankoffski and Kim Whalen as Miss Mulberry.

Nerdy Prudes Must Die has a book by Nick and Matt Lang, music and lyrics by Jeff Blim, and direction and choreographed by Lauren Lopez, the team behind The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals.

StarKid is best known for its parody sensation A Very Potter Musical, which went viral in 2009 and led to the theatre company gaining hundreds of millions of followers on YouTube and beyond.
