The Other Palace continues to build its reputation as "The Home of New Musical Theatre" by introducing London audiences to brand new pieces as well as nurturing musical projects in development. Next month, Perfect Pitch and Global Musicals Ltd. will present a new family musical called The Little Beasts at the venue, which will undergo re-writes throughout the course of the three-week engagement and evolve in response to audience feedback. Performances run from 14 to 29 July 2017.

The Little Beasts features music by Luke Bateman, with a book and lyrics by Michael Conley. The production will be directed by Jamie Hinde, with musical direction provided by Brady Mould, musical supervision by Paul Herbert, and puppetry direction by Nick Barnes.

This dark and imaginatively comic musical follows a selfish little girl who runs away from home and discovers a magical menagerie filled with animals that used to be children before their naughtiness brought them to untimely ends. When the menagerie's menacing proprietor tasks her to choose one animal to set free, she must decide which one, if any, has learned its lesson. But things are not what they seem, and is any child truly naughty?

The talented cast, who will accommodate the ongoing creative changes, includes Sebastien Torkia (as The Man in Black), Laura Baldwin (as Sam) and ensemble members Oliver Evans, Seyi Omooba, Nina Bell & Tyler Fagan.

Tickets for The Little Beasts are on sale now.
