Olivier Award-winning cabaret La Clique to return to London this Christmas
The internationally-acclaimed cabaret show La Clique will return to London for the first time in over a decade to be performed at the Spiegeltent in Leicester Square this Christmas.
First performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2004, La Clique is an international cabaret created by David Bates that features contemporary Vaudeville artists from around the world. The show made its London debut in 2008 at the London Hippodrome, later winning the 2009 Olivier Award for best entertainment.
La Clique will headline Underbelly's Christmas in Leicester Square, with a variety of shows to be performed at the central London venue as part of its fourth consecutive year.
Ahead of the show's return to London, David Bates said: "As the original producer of La Clique I am extremely excited to be returning to where adult variety became 'legit' and entered the 'mainstream,' all the while, teetering on the edge of the ledge it created, continuing to raise the bar, before leaping off!"
La Clique will run for a limited engagement over the Christmas period at the Spiegeltent in Leicester Square from 8th November to 4th January 2020.
Initial acts announced to appear in La Clique will feature Bernie Dieter as the MC, previously appearing at the Underbelly Festival. She is joined by juggler Florian Brooks who graduated from Ecole Superiore des Arts de Cirque in Brussels, fire-breather and sword-swallower Heather Holliday and aerialist Stephen Williams, who holds a bachelor's degree in Circus Arts.
The production will also feature live music by La Clique Palace Orkestra, with vocals by Kelly Wolfgramm.
Further acts to star in La Clique are yet to be announced.
La Clique is at the Leicester Square Spiegeltent from 8th November to 4th January 2020.
La Clique tickets will go on sale on 10th July.
