Open Air Theatre Jesus Christ Superstar cast

The Open Air Theatre in Regent's Park's have announced full casting for their upcoming production of Jesus Christ Superstar which runs from 15 July to 27 August 2016.

Joining the previously announced 'Eastenders' star Declan Bennett in the role of Jesus in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock opera will be Tyrone Huntley as Judas, Anoushka Lucas as Mary Magdelene, David Thaxton as Pilate, Cavin Cornwall as Caiaphas, Peter Caulfield as Herod, Phil King as Peter, Joel Harper-Jackson as Simon Zealotes and Sean Kingsley as Annas.

The ensemble will include Ashley Andrews, Will Barratt, Billy Cullum, Joshua Dever, Omari Douglas, Simon Hardwick, Raquel Jones, Bobbie Little, Sinead Long, Gloria Obianyo, Joseph Prouse, Charlotte Riby, Cameron Sharp, Barnaby Thompson and Rhys Whitfield. The Soul Girls will be played by Genesis Lynea, Rosa O'Reilly and Shanay Holmes.

Declan Bennett's credits include 'Once' (Phoenix), 'Taboo' (Venue Theatre), 'RENT' (US tour and Broadway) and 'American Idiot' (Broadway).

Directed by Tim Sheader, the production features musical direction by Tom Deering, design by Tom Scutt and choreography by Drew McOnie.
