Open Air Theatre Regent's Park announce 2004 Season

The Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park, has announced its 72nd season.

Produced by the New Shakespeare Company, the season runs in repertoire from 31 May 04 to 11 Sep 04.

Henry IV Part 1, by William Shakespeare, opens on 7 June, following previews from 31 May 04, and closes 11 Sep 04. It is directed by Alan Strachan, with designs by Kit Surrey . Young Prince Hal is leading a dissolute life, hanging around bars with his notorious friend Falstaff and other disreputable characters. Meanwhile King Henry IV, who has usurped the throne, is facing growing opposition, which becomes open rebellion led by the courageous young Hotspur. Prince Hal casts off his wanton ways and joins his father's side as the King meets the rebellion in a dramatic battle.

A Midsummer Night's Dream, by William Shakespeare, opens on 11 June, following previews from 2 Jun 04, and closing 8 Sep 04. It is directed by Ian Talbot , with designs by Kit Surrey . Featuring Russ Abbot as 'Bottom'.

Camelot, Books and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner , Music by Frederick Loewe , opens on 23 July, following previews from 20 July 04, and closing 4 Sep 04. It is directed by Ian Talbot, with designs by Paul Farnsworth. Featuring Russ Abbot as 'Sir Pellinore'.

The Wind In The Willows, By Kenneth Grahame , Adapted by David Conville and David Gooderson, Music by Carl Davis, from 27 July 04 to 27 Aug 04. It is directed by Laura Baggaley, with designs by Mamoru Iriguchi . Classic family adventure of Rat, Mole, Badger and Toad
