Convivial socialite Lady Hunstanton has invited an array of genteel guests to her great country house for the weekend. Ensconced in sumptuous surroundings, they pursue engagements of both a personal and professional nature, and through Wilde's crackling dialogue, layers of intentions (both good and bad!), are revealed.
