Peter Pan Live! starring Christopher Walken will stream online this Friday
The 2014 filming also stars Get Out's Allison Williams alongside Broadway's Kelli O'Hara and Christian Borle.
The 2014 live filming of Peter Pan Live! will be available to stream for free for 48 hours only from 7PM on Friday 19th June. It is the latest full-length musical to be made available as part of The Shows Must Go On and follows the successful online showings of The Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray Live!, Jesus Christ Superstar, amongst others.
Based on the 1954 Broadway musical, itself an adaption of J. M Barrie's original play, Peter Pan Live! tells the story of the Darling children and their adventures in Neverland with the mysterious Peter Pan - the boy who never grew up.
Peter Pan Live! stars Allison Williams (Get Out) as Peter Pan, alongside Christopher Walken as Captain Hook and Tony-Award winning Broadway stars Kelli O'Hara as Wendy Darling and Christian Borle as Mr Darling and Smee.
The production also brings together a Broadway creative team, including a screenplay by Irene Mecchi (The Lion King) and set and costume designs by Moulin Rouge The Musical's Derek McLane and Catherine Zuber respectively.
The Broadway musical of Peter Pan, with a score by Jule Styne, Betty Comden, and Adolph Green, has seen many successful revivals over the years in addition to multiple television adaptions.
Allison Williams is the latest woman to fly high in the role of Peter Pan. Traditionally played by a woman in the show, Williams follows stars like Mary Martin, Sandy Duncan, and Cathy Rigby.
