PHANTOM OF THE OPERA ANNOUNCES MAJOR CAST CHANGES

Phantom of the Opera, has announced major cast changes from 11th March 02 at Her Majesty's Theatre.

Celia Graham will take over the role of 'Christine' , Robert Finlayson the role of 'Raoul', Liz Robertson the role of 'Madame Giry', Nan Christie the role of 'Carlotta', Robert Irons 'Monsieur Andre' and Hayley Driscoll 'Meg'. Katrina Murphy will play 'Christine at cetain performances. Also joining the company are Adam Brooks, Stephen Davis, Heather Johnson, John Marshall and Abigal Mellor. The show will continue to feature John Owen- Jones as 'The Phantom', with Bruce Montague as 'Monsier Firmin' and Jeremy Secomb as 'Piangi'.

Celia Graham played the starring role of 'Maria' in the recent production of "West Side Story", both in the West End and on tour. Most recently, she has played the role of 'Carlotta' in "Les Miserables" at the Palace Theatre.

Robert Finlayson has played 'Chris' in the West End production of "Miss Saigon", 'Raoul' in the UK national tour of "Phantom of the Opera" and 'Nick' in the West End production of "Fame" .

Liz Robertson's West End credits include "The Mitford Girls", "Song and Dance" and "Stepping Out". She also starred as 'Eliza' in the 1979 production of "My Fair Lady" at the Adelphi Theatre.

Nan Christie has performed with opera companies throughout the world including Scottish Opera, Glyndebourne and the Royal Opera.

Robert Irons West End credits include "Tess of the D'Urbervilles", "HMS Pinafore" and "Godspell".

This long running musical has been running in London since 1986. Directed by Harold Prince, it has music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Charles Hart .

This musical is based on Gaston Leroux's gothic novel of life beneath the stage of the Paris Opera House. The story concerns a mysterious masked man who falls in love with one of the singers called 'Christine'.
