Now in its third year at the Apollo Theatre, two new cast members have been announced to star in Everybody's Talking About Jamie.

Preeya Kalidas will join the cast as Miss Hedge from 17th November, with Roy Haylock, best known as his drag queen alter ego Bianca Del Rio reprising their performance as Hugo/Loco Chanelle from 9th December.

Kalidas' West End credits include Bend It Like Beckham as Pinky, receiving an Olivier Award nomination for best supporting actress. Further performing credits include Chiaroscuro at the Bush Theatre, School of Rock, and Bombay Dreams at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, as well as playing Amira Masood in BBC's Eastenders.

Ahead of joining the show, Kalidas said: "The music is contagious, the diversity of talent being represented on a West End stage is incredible. I am extremely excited to be part of a show that makes the audience feel so elated, and reminds us all that being unafraid to do and be whoever you want to be can be extremely powerful.

Del Rio returns to the cast after making her West End debut in Everybody's Talking About Jamie earlier this year. She is best known for winning RuPaul's Drag Race in 2014 and was the first drag queen to perform a solo stand-up comedy show in 2018.

When performing under their given name as Roy Haylock, his theatre credits include Rent, Grease and Cabaret.

The cast of Everybody's Talking About Jamie is completed by Layton Williams as Jamie, Alex Anstey Alexander Archer, Luke Baker, Daniel Davids, Marlon G Day, Momar Diagne, Melissa Jacques, Zahra Jones, James Gillan, Daniel Jacob, Emily Kenwright, Sejal Keshwala, Luke Latchman, Jordan Laviniere, Harriet Payne, Sabrina Sandhu and Tilly La Belle Yengo.

Based on a BBC documentary, Everybody's Talking About Jamie follows the story of Jamie, a 16 year old from Sheffield who wears a dress to his school prom and finds his confidence. The musical features original music by The Feeling's Dan Gillespie Sells.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie is at the Apollo Theatre.
