Reimagining of The Mikado at Charing Cross Theatre

Steven M. Levy and Sean Sweeney presents a reimagining of Gilbert & Sullivan's operetta, The Mikado, at the Charing Cross Theatre, in central London, from 27 Nov 2014 to 3 Jan 2015, directed by Thom Southerland.

This Hobson's Choice-inspired take on The Mikado is set in the Titipu Umbrella and Fan Factory, owned by The Mikado. With familiar characters and songs, including Yum-Yum, Peep-Bo, Pitti-Sing, who sing the classic 'Three little maids from school are we', as workers in the department providing fans for local schools.

Cast includes Rebecca Caine (Katisha), Mark Heenehan (The Mikado), Matthew Crowe, Leigh Coggins, Hugh Osborne, Steve Watts, Jacob Chapman, Sophie Rohan, Cassandra McCowan, Alyssa Martin, Kayleigh McKnight, Andrew Dovaston, Josh Wylie, Zac Wancke, George Tebbutt.

Choreography by Joey McNeely, designs by Phil Lindley, costumes by Jonathan Lipman. Musical director is Iain Vince Gatt.
