The Tabard Theatre in Chiswick, west London, will stage the premiere of Richard Harris' Dog Ends from 22 March to 15 April 2017 with an official opening on 23 March.

Last seen as part of the BBC's popular Play For Today series, the comedy has been adapted and updated by Richard Harris ahead of its limited London run. Directed by Keith Strachan with design by Mike Leopold and lighting by Adam King, the cast features Christien Anholt, Anita Graham, Bryan Hands, Jeffrey Holland, Alex Mann, Charlotte Peak and Nick Wilton.

"The time is tomorrow. Middle aged George is under increasing emotional and financial pressure looking after his father and his beloved dog. When George confides in neighbourhood friend Henry that the dog is nearing the end of his time, he is passed the contact of a highly-recommended vet. However, there is a serious misunderstanding over just what it is the vet actually does and who he works for."

Richard Harris is soon to be represented in the West End with a revival of his play Stepping Out which runs at the Vaudeville Theatre. His credits include Outside Edge, The Business of Murder and A Touch Of Frost, Shoestring and The Avengers on TV.

This production will mark the re-opening of The Tabard Theatre, with further artistic policy and season to be announced.

Tickets for Dog End are now on sale.
