Room on the Broom will play daytime performances at the Lyric Theatre this summer. Room on the Broom is at the Lyric Theatre from 21 July to 4 September.

The Room on the Broom stage show is based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s children’s book of the same name. The story follows a witch and her cat who make friends with a range of animals. As they fly on her broomstick, the stick snaps and they have to face a dragon.

This year’s Room on the Broom cast includes Jessica Manu as the Witch, Hannah Miller as the Cat, Peter Steele as Dog and Frog, Jake Waring as the Bird and Dragon, and Jayant Singh.

Room on the Broom received an Olivier Award for Best Family and Entertainment in 2013. The production is directed by Olivia Jacobs, and features design by Morgan Large, puppet design by Yvonne Stone, lighting design by James Whiteside, choreography by Morag Cross and music composed by Jon Fiber and Andy Shaw.

In the evenings and select afternoons, the Lyric Theatre is home to Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Story.
