Rosie Day will star in her debut play — Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon — at the Southwark Playhouse next year. Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon begins previews on 9 February, with an opening night on 10 February and performances to 5 March.

Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon questions how young women grow up in today's society, as they try to forge their own paths. Preview performances were held at the Old Red Lion Theatre in February 2020, followed by performances at BarnFest in August 2020. The play shares the same title as Day's debut book, which was published in October 2021.

Day's West End credits include A Winter's Tale at the National Theatre and Again and The Girl Who Fell at Trafalgar Studios. She has also appeared in films such as All Roads Lead to Rome and Down A Dark Hall. Speaking about her debut play, she said: I'm so delighted to be bringing Teenage Armageddon to Southwark Playhouse, we wanted to put teenage girls at the forefront of British theatre but also create an experience that audience members of all ages could relate to, enjoy and hopefully come away feeling empowered.''

Georgie Staight directs Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon, and voiceovers are by Maxine Peake.
