Sheridan Smith will star in a new production of Alan Ayckbourn’s psychological comedy Woman in Mind, with performances beginning at the Duke of York’s Theatre from 9 December, running through 28 February 2026.
Smith, who was last seen on stage in the world premiere of John Cassavetes’ Opening Night, stars in Ayckbourn’s groundbreaking play, which explores identity, family, and mental escape. When Susan experiences a head injury, her world splits in two: one mundane reality, and the other vividly imagined. Michael Longhurst will direct.
The rest of the creative team includes set and costume design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Lee Curran, and sound design by Paul Arditti.
