Following our report in January more stars confirmed for Sir John Gielgud - The Centenary Gala, a special evening to celebrate the centenary of Sir John Gielgud's birth, will take place at the Gielgud Theatre on Monday 19 April 2004. (0870 890 1105)

The gala is presented by The Royal Shakespeare Company; RADA; The Shakespeare Guild; Bill Kenwright and Thelma Holt.

Coincidentally, this gala will take place 55 years to the day after Sir John Gielgud made his first appearance in Stratford as the director of Much Ado About Nothing

**Proceeds from the evening will go towards funding a bursary for RADA students, and towards the voice and verse training programme for RSC actors in Stratford.
