Soldier's Tale at the Old Vic Sun 21 Nov 2004, starring Jeremy Irons

Stravinsky's Soldier's Tale, in a new translation by Jeremy Sams, will be at the Old Vic Theatre for one performance on Sunday 21 Nov 2004, starring Jeremy Irons as the Narrator. Performed by Soloists of the Philharmonia (conducted by Robin O'Neill),

It is produced by Motion Group and directed by Andrew Steggall.

Soldier's Tale (L'Histoire du Soldat) tells the Faustian tale of a soldier who sells his soul to the devil in return for infinite wealth, and explores the concepts of evil, duality and temptation.

**The Motion Group intend to take this production to Baghdad in 2005 in an initiative to foster meaningful and sustainable collaboration with Iraqi artists in the post-war era, using a new Arabic/English translation, before bringing it back to London.
